The XXXVI Rally Elba Storico-Trofeo Locman Italy presents challenges
Last days for the registration period, almost record ever for number of entries, with the "Graffiti" race experiencing a strong growth input.
The route, inspired by tradition, has undergone some adjustments that will make the challenges even more exciting and the race format has also changed, providing only two race days instead of the three adopted until last year.
The important conference "The new frontiers of tourism" has been confirmed for 11.30 am on Thursday 26 September in Capoliveri, with a clear reminder of the strategic value of the rally for the sector.
Livorno, 13 September 2024 – The XXXVI Rallye Elba Storico-Trofeo Locman Italy is marching towards "its" date, the time range of next 27 and 28 September, when the challenges of the seventh will begin on the island home of rallies round of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and seventh of the Italian Historic Car Rally Championship (CIRAS). These will be accompanied by the inevitable "Graffiti" event, also valid in this case as the seventh of the nine scheduled tests of the "tricolor" Historic Car Rally.

Livorno, 13 September 2024 – The XXXVI Rallye Elba Storico-Trofeo Locman Italy is marching towards "its" date, the time range of next 27 and 28 September, when the challenges of the seventh will begin on the island home of rallies round of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and seventh of the Italian Historic Car Rally Championship (CIRAS). These will be accompanied by the inevitable "Graffiti" event, also valid in this case as the seventh of the nine scheduled tests of the "tricolor" Historic Car Rally.
The classic Elba event is in the final stages of the registration period and has already achieved three-digit numbers, which are expected to lead to an absolute race record and one of the best Italian and international results for historic cars.
A NEW “PERMANENCE” Confirmed in its classic location at the end of the summer, suitable to favor the lengthening of the tourist season on the island, it presents some innovations: the most important one concerns logistics, moved to Lacona (municipality of Capoliveri) at the Uappala Hotel Club Lacona, where the race direction, secretariat and press room will be located. Within its functional structures, avoiding travel and optimizing time, the delivery of the competition material to the competitors will take place as well as the pre-race administrative checks and scrutineering. Furthermore, the car park on the sea side of the hotel will host the first two rearrangements and the parc fermé at the end of the first stage, while the service park area, as in the last two editions, is planned for Capoliveri in Viale Australia and neighboring car parks.
TWO DAYS OF RACE On a sporting level, the two stages of the race, an "ever-present classic", were designed on the basis of tradition. A total of 10 special stages are planned over two race days instead of the three organized until last year. Times and journeys were optimised, involving the western part of the island for the first stage and the eastern part for the second. A race design therefore reversed, also in this case, compared to previous years. The second SS, the "Marciana Marina-Marciana-Campo", is introduced for the first time in the historic race, after having been proposed in April for the "modern" one and the classic "Monumento" test will be run in the reverse direction compared to 2023 .

THE CONFERENCE ON SEPTEMBER 26 IN CAPOLIVERI The race, which for years now has been divided into the "modern" one in spring and the "historical" one at the end of summer, is not only sport and challenges but also a decisive vehicle for promoting the territory and useful economic incentive for the tourism industry. For this reason, a conference entitled "The new frontiers of tourism" will be organized on Thursday 26 September at 11.30, therefore at the gates of the race, in Capoliveri, a topic in which stories, ideas and perspectives for addressing the new challenges of the sector, aimed at guiding its sustainable development and good for providing innovation prospects as the rallye is proposing.
It will be an important moment of reflection and discussion with the various actors in the area and beyond who dedicate themselves to the promotion, valorisation and communication of it.
OTHER VALIDITIES In addition to the European validity and the two "tricolor" titles, there will also be other "promotional" validity, such as the A112 Abarth Trophy, the Memory Fornaca and the Michelin Historic Rally Cup, as well as that of the ACI Livorno Social Championship.
LIVE STREAMING With the direction entrusted to the SportCultura.tv structure and with the support of Aci Sport, live streaming of the competition will be provided. The schedule is being defined and will be communicated as soon as approved.
It will be an important moment of reflection and discussion with the various actors in the area and beyond who dedicate themselves to the promotion, valorisation and communication of it.
