The XXXVI Elba Rally Storico - Trofeo Locman Italy changes the logistics

The novelty on the reference location of the event and a route ascribed to tradition will be the strong characteristics of the edition which returns to the context of the continental championship, also confirming itself as a cornerstone of the "tricolour" race.
Livorno, 18 June 2024 - European validity and two National titles, for the XXXVI Rallye Elba Storico-Trofeo Locman Italy, scheduled for next 27-28 September.
The iconic competition proposed by Aci Livorno Sport - organizer and promoter of the event on behalf of ACI Livorno - will be the seventh round of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and seventh also of the Italian Historic Car Rally Championship (CIRAS), which will be accompanied by the inevitable "Graffiti" appointment, valid as the seventh of the nine scheduled tests of the Italian Historic Car Regularity Rally Championship. Then there will be other "promotional" validity, such as the A112 Abarth Trophy, the Memory Fornaca and the Michelin Historic Rally Cup.
Always therefore in its classic location at the end of the summer, suitable to favor the lengthening of the tourist season on the largest island of the Tuscan archipelago, the historic Rallye will once again bring to life, as is tradition, strong sensations and passion. History. One of the most exciting sporting stories in the world which the classic, indispensable rendezvous is therefore preparing to renew the challenges on the international scene with a partially revised look, obviously deriving from the tradition of an event which every year transforms into a unique edition. An event of the territory and above all for the territory, strongly demonstrated for some time by the convinced support confirmed by the local administrations.
Precisely with the aim of looking forward together with the entire Elban community, the two thousand twenty-four edition will be proposed with some innovations on logistics, which will be moved to Lacona (municipality of Capoliveri) in the exclusive location of the Uappala Hotel Club Lacona, where the Head Quarter, the Secretariat and the press room will be based.
The delivery of the competition material to the competitors, the sporting checks and the pre-race technical checks will take place within its structures. Furthermore, the car park on the sea side of the hotel will host the first two regroupments and the parc fermé at the end of the first leg, while the service park area, as in the last two editions, will be arranged in Capoliveri in Viale Australia and neighboring car parks.
On a sporting level, the two legs of the race will be designed on the basis of the recent past and evidently looking at tradition, they will certainly be challenges of a high technical level, ready to consolidate the high quality offered in past editions.
Marco Fiorillo, president of ACI Livorno: “The Rally Elba Storico has always been the most appreciated race by drivers from all over Europe, the most immediate testimony of this was the participation of foreigners in the 2023 edition, even though it was not eligible for an international title. With this alone it could not fail to be included again in the Championship after just one year's break, the charm of Elba, its context and its race will certainly give value to the continental challenge, as well as the Italian one. For our part, together with the entire Elban community, we will try to honor the return of this title in the best possible way, certainly those who come for the race in various capacities will not be disappointed."
The competition will start, like last year, from Porto Azzurro on the IV November dock while the arrival will be located in the center of Capoliveri.
